The event was held at Pokolbin Community Hall from Friday to Sunday, with works by more than 20 local artists and makers on show, and about 1200 visitors over the three days.
It was the brainchild of Branxton artists Kim Lundy and Suellyn Connolly, who were inspired by popularity of art fairs abroad and in Australia's larger cities and wanted to give local artists a forum to showcase their work to the public.
"The event was well supported by visitors to the Hunter and locals alike," Kim said.
"I am most proud of several new artists who had never sold before the art fair who sold many artworks over the weekend."
Based on the success of this year's event, the organisers are planning to hold two art fairs in 2021, on the June and October long weekends.
