PCYC Cessnock will be holding roller skating sessions on Thursday evenings, starting October 15.
Club manager Lelio Rossi said they have had a "massive response" to the new activity after announcing it on Facebook on September 24.
Mr Rossi said they decided to introduce skating at the request of members.
"We have a skate park which is mainly used by scooters, skate boards and BMX bikes. We had a lot of roller skaters asking if there was a place for the them to skate, so we looked at our multi-sports room and was sufficient for roller skating," he said.

Two one-hour sessions will be held, starting at 5pm and 6pm. Each session costs $3 per person, and is open to all ages.
Everyone who attends must be a member of PCYC ($10 annually for under 18-years, and $25 for adults), and must bring their own roller skates and helmets.
Due to COVID restrictions, sessions are limited to 50 people.
