A host of free festive events and activities are programmed at Cessnock Performing Arts Centre to engage children, young people and families throughout December.
Families are invited to come along to a special Santa Storytime on Tuesday, December 15 at 10am, hosted by Cessnock City Library at CPAC. Delight in some favourite Christmas stories and songs, and welcome a special surprise visitor!
The performing arts centre will also host three classic Christmas movies to lift your spirits - the animated delight Elliot the Littlest Reindeer (Tuesday, December 15 at 2pm), magical adventure The Polar Express (Thursday, December 17 at 6pm), and the heart-warming and hilarious Elf (Friday, December 18 at 6pm).
Then on Saturday, December 19, international award-winning magician Joel Howlett is back with JD's World of Christmas Magic.
This brand-new show has magic, puppets, audience participation and lots of festive fun.
Due to popular demand, an additional performance has been scheduled for 9.30am after the 1pm session sold out within 24 hours.
And, as capacity restrictions on theatre audiences are due to lift even further next week, extra seats have become available for both performances.
All events are free but bookings are essential.
Santa Storytime tickets can be booked via Cessnock and Kurri Library or at eventbrite.com.au, and the film screenings and magic show can be booked at the CPAC box office on 4993 4266 or online at cessnockperformingartscentre.com.au.
