LIBRARY EVENTS
Local history buffs are in for a treat this Thursday when Cessnock Library hosts a tour of its archives. The tour will run from 10am to noon, with many weird, wild and wonderful stories to be heard.
Also on Thursday, the library will also host an author talk by Todd Alexander. Todd will speak about his new memoir, You've Got To Be Kidding: A Shedload of Wine & A Farm Full Of Goats, starting at 6pm.
Both events are free but bookings are essential via eventbrite.com.au or by calling the library on 4993 4399.
PARKRUN IS BACK
Nulkaba parkrun has resumed at St Philip's Christian College. The free, timed, five-kilometre run is held every Saturday at 8am. Register at parkrun.com.au.
CAR WASH AND BBQ
Central Fire Brigade will hold a car wash and barbecue at its station in South Avenue this Saturday. The car wash will start at 8am; cost is $10 per car.
VISITING EVANGELIST
Prominent evangelist Doug MacFarlane will visit Cessnock City Church this Sunday. The service starts at 10am and all are welcome.
TOASTMASTERS

VIEW CLUB
Cessnock VIEW Club will resume its meetings for the new year on Thursday, February 18.
