Plans are in place for the 2021 Kurri Kurri Nostalgia Festival to go ahead on the last weekend in March.
Last year's festival was cancelled just two weeks out due to coronavirus crowd bans, and event manager Lesley Morris said while COVID restrictions have forced some amendments to the usual program, there will be plenty happening across the weekend.
The Retro Market Place will be operating in Kurri Kurri's Rotary Park on the Saturday and Sunday, with some of the best retro and vintage market stalls from across the country.
The Shannon's Show and Shine has been relocated to Kurri Kurri Sportsground and will only be held on the Sunday (with car entries sold out due to the reduced space, and no entries accepted on the day).
Entertainment will be held at Weston Workers Club over three nights, including the Burlesque Idol Australia grand finale on the Friday; Louis King and DJ Gav on the Saturday night and Jumpin' Jukebox on the Sunday.
Some events will be livestreamed on Facebook, including best dressed competitions, a vintage fashion parade, dance performances and tutorials and a vintage hair tutorial.
Richmond Vale Railway Museum will also host the Rock 'n' Roll Express on the Friday and Saturday night.
"We were really disappointed that we had to cancel the festival two weeks out last year. The 2021 festival is going to be a bit different, but we are pleased that we can still offer most of the things that the Kurri Kurri Nostalgia Festival is famous for," Ms Morris said.
