The free workshop is a collaboration between Cessnock City Council's economic development team, the Department of Education and Training Services NSW.
It will cover a range of topics including recovery from COVID-19, traineeships and apprenticeships, fee-free short courses and qualifications, incentives and ongoing support.
Council's economic development and tourism manager Tony Chadwick encourages all local business owners to come along.
"During our Training and Employment Network meetings it was clear local employers wanted to be better equipped when it came to employing new staff," he said.
"There is a myriad of information out there and can be difficult to find the answer you are looking for.
"We're pleased we can now deliver this training and invite businesses wishing to grow or who have questions about their current staff to come along.
"The focus will be breaking down the barriers between employers and job providers, and also about apprenticeships, traineeships and the support available.
"Businesses are encouraged to ask questions and interact to get the most out of the workshop. We hope businesses walk away with more knowledge and confidence which may even see them consider putting on more local staff."
The workshop will run from 6pm to 8pm, with a light supper provided. Registration is essential at eventbrite.com.au.
