Man airlifted to John Hunter Hospital after single-vehicle crash at Ellalong

A 21-year-old man was flown to John Hunter Hospital on Wednesday night after a single-vehicle crash at Ellalong.

The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance to the mission on Ellalong Road around 9pm.

The man - who was the sole occupant of the vehicle - sustained multiple limb fractures and head injuries in the accident.

He was trapped for some time before being released by emergency services and was treated on scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics and the Helicopter Critical Care Medical Team, before being flown to John Hunter Hospital in a stable condition.
