Jerome and Denzel Burns arrived in town this week after playing last season with the Ipswich Jets in the Queensland Cup.
"We're delighted to get them," coach Todd Edwards said. "They're very good players. It's a hard competition the Q Cup ... there are no mugs there."
Jerome is a Queensland under-19s Origin player. He's a halfback who has played in the Broncos under 20 side."
Denzel is his younger brother, a fullback or centre, who is a very dangerous attacking player.
His coach at Ipswich, former NRL player Shane Walker described him like this: "He's a young fella we brought in from Toowoomba, he's lightning fast and has a great instinct for the game.
"He's slightly built, perhaps he's been overlooked because of his build."
Not that Edwards is too fussed .
"The reports we had were that they're very talented. Some of the guys in my squad knew of them and rated them highly. They've come down for a fresh start.
"Obviously with players of that quality the Knights could well be interested so I'm not sure exactly how much we'll have them. We'll have to wait and see."
With the spine of his team changing this season, a halfback and potential fullback are exactly what Edwards was looking for.
"We'll continue to monitor things as far as potential signings go, but we're starting to shape up nicely," Edward said.
