Nominations for the 2021 Cessnock Customer Service Awards are now open, giving the community the chance to recognise staff who go above and beyond for their clients and customers.
In previous years, nominations could be submitted in the three months leading up to the awards night, but the Cessnock Chamber of Commerce has revamped the process and will be accepting submissions all year round.
Nominations can be made online via the chamber's website, and businesses will have QR codes in store to link customers to the site.
Monthly winners will be announced, and will be in the running for the overall Chamber Choice award, which will be presented in October.
Chamber board member Stacy Jacobs said the organising committee is excited about the awards' new format.
"We know customer service doesn't just happen in August, September and October (when nominations were open in previous years)," she said.
"It's a great opportunity to give continuous feedback.
"We are really excited to be able to recognise a range of businesses throughout the year."
The awards will have five main categories (hospitality and tourism, retail, trade and training, professional, and community and wellbeing), with 18 sub-categories.
Anyone who makes a nomination will go into the draw to win $100 Cessnock Dollars (to be spent at a local business).
