Part of the Cessnock Seniors' Festival, the exhibition is today from 10am to 2pm at the Calvary Cessnock Retirement Community off Wine Country Drive.
"A lot of our residents continue to do their art and craft - it gives them something to work towards and look forward to," said Calvary's long-time Leisure and Lifestyle Officer Pat Mowbray. "Some might need a little extra support these days, some enjoy the simple pleasure of creating something that is both beautiful and useful, and for others it is more about the social interaction with other residents."
Resident Shirley Woodward took up diamond dot art after being taught by another crafty resident.
"I was walking past one day and Rosie was doing her diamond dots. She got me started and then I was off," Shirley recalled.
Some of the residents' handiwork will be for sale. The event is free and COVID-safe.
