Bulldogs president Mick Alchin said Brodie, 18, was impressive coming off the bench for the final 15 minutes after playing in both the A-grade and Reserve Grade matches.
Brodie's dad, uncle Steve (captain coach) and their cousin Jason starred in Kurri's 1993-95 premiership hat-trick.
On Saturday, the Bulldogs were without seven of their regular first grade squad including captain coach Mitch Cullen, Peter Cronin, Nathan Ross, Tommy McKenzie, Reid Alchin and Henry Penn.
Alchin said young Linnane had to back up three times because of the long injury list's impact on all grades the Bulldogs.
"We probably got to see Brodie a bit earlier than we expected in first grade, but he acquitted himself very well," Alchin said.
"All the boys who came up from reserve grade stood up well. It was a pretty good effort considering we had seven players out.
"A few blokes played injured, which has been part and parcel of the past month or so.
"For what we had on the paddock we did very well."
Kade Hardy scored the Bulldogs try in the 25th minute, while forward Michael Steel was off for 10 minutes after being sin-binned for disputing the referee's call giving the Scorpions a try.
The Bulldogs have a Covid enforced break next weekend with their game against Wyong a Covid-draw under the Central Coast lockdown conditions. Their round 16 clash against Lakes United is also in doubt.
