The Hunter Region Business Excellence Awards have been postponed in light of the current COVID-19 restrictions in NSW.

The awards, which were set down for September 24, will now be presented at a gala dinner at Club Maitland City on November 5.

The application period for the awards also has been extended, with entries now due on September 5.

All businesses located in the Hunter Region are welcome to apply for the awards, which - now in its 27th year - is one of the region's longest-running and most prestigious awards events.

There are 12 general business categories along with additional major awards such as Young Entrepreneur, Business Woman of the Year and Hunter Business of the Year.

For more information, call the Hunter Region Business Hub on 4936 2557, email reception@huntervalleyhub.com.au or visit the awards website.
