As reported in the Advertiser last month, the club has started serving the free lunch for vulnerable people on a weekly basis.
Club spokesperson George Koncz said the number of people in attendance is slowly growing, but they would love to see more people come along and take advantage of the free service.
"We are also having extra support from members in the community who are coming along to help us prepare and hand out the free lunch," Mr Koncz said.
In addition, a major sponsor of the club, Creightons Funeral Service, has come on board as a co-sponsor for the lunch with a $1000 donation.
"As a supporting sponsor of Cessnock Rotary we are aware due to the current restrictions the difficulties to fundraise," Creightons Funeral Service community liaison manager Lyn Parkes said.
"After becoming aware of Tuesday's free lunch in the park, we wanted to help. So we have provided a further donation to this worthy initiative to assist, and to continue our support of Rotary in the interest of the community."
The club has also received sponsorship from Brunkerville Uniting Church for the lunch.
The lunch will continue in the Cessnock TAFE grounds every Tuesday from 12pm to 1pm (weather permitting - stay tuned to the club's Facebook page for updates).
