Lill-trained More Sauce broke the Goulburn 350m track record on Sunday, running 19.33 seconds to claim the first Fireball series heat by almost seven lengths.
Kennelmate Casual Glance then took out the first heat of the group 3 Goulburn Cup (440m), jumping to the lead and running 24.55 to win by three lengths.
The Lills have two in the maiden series at Maitland, which has six heats. First Major is backing up in heat four from box seven after a second on debut on Friday at The Gardens over 272m. On The Sauce debuts from the same box in the sixth.
"She's only steady," Michael said of First Major.
"She came second on Friday and she won't be up to it.
"I think On The Sauce might have a bit of a future, but not over this distance. But he's got to start somewhere, he's got a last section and he's going to be a nice 500-600 metre dog later on. But he's got nothing early."
Lill said Robbie Rotten in race 12 was "in super nick" but "he's not really suited to the 400 there and he's come up with a tough race".
