The auction was held on Tuesday, October 26 by Peters Real Estate, and according to real estate agent Adam Carruthers had 21 registered bidders.
"Mount Molly Morgan is a part of lot 198 and one of the lots still has an old tank from the migrant camp," Mr Carruthers said.
Peters Real Estate declined to disclose the identity of the buyer and aren't aware of the land's intended use.
The property was formerly Molly Morgan's Agricultural and Dairy Farm until her death in 1835.
In 1939, the Department of Defence purchased part of Molly Morgan's farm to build their army training camp.
According to author of Beneath the Shadows of Mount Molly Morgan, Alek Schulha, residents from both the army and migrant camps loved climbing the mountain.
"Many army recruits tell many stories of how soldiers had to run up and down the mountain as part of their training, and most of the 60,000 trainees can remember Mount Molly Morgan," he said.
"The land still includes the original firing ranges at the base of the mountain."
Earlier in October, Peters Real Estate broke a milestone for the Maitland region when they sold 26 blocks of land at Hillview, Louth Park, for a total of $20.042 million.
The online auction on Saturday, October 17 had 70 registered bidders and 200 viewers on the livestream.
