Council will be contributing about $3.2 million towards these projects, bringing the investment to over $5.3 million.
The grant funding will provide $800,000 for pavement rehabilitation as part of the Kurri Kurri CBD upgrade, with council to contribute an additional $2,187,717.
About $1.29 million of the grant funding will go towards council's Local Roads Reseal Program, with council adding $1.06 million.
It is expected that council will reseal just over 25 kilometres of 15 local roads with this funding.
Roads will be selected based on their surface condition.
The grant funding will also provide $40,000 for suburb entry signs at Cliftleigh and Heddon Greta.
Council's general manager Lotta Jackson said she looks forward to seeing these important projects kick off.
"The Kurri Kurri CBD upgrade is already underway and the addition of the pavement rehabilitation to the works program will go a long way to enhancing this much-loved town centre," she said.
"I am sure the community will also be pleased with the huge investment in our Local Roads Reseal Program, which is targeted at making our roads safer for local residents."
The third phase of the Local Roads and Community Infrastructure program provided more than $1 billion to councils across Australia, from a total of $2.5 billion across all three phases.
