
A Maitland woman and a Cessnock man are two of 12 COVID-related deaths reported across NSW on Saturday.
The Cessnock man was in his 80s, while the woman from Maitland was in her 90s.

It comes as the Hunter New England district recorded 1956 new COVID cases in the 24 hours to 4pm Friday. The new cases were made up of 661 PCR tests and 1,295 from rapid antigen tests.
Hunter New England Health said it was currently caring for 27 COVID-19 cases in district hospitals, none of which are in intensive care.
There were 19,060 positive test results notified across NSW in the reporting period - including 11,429 positive rapid antigen tests and 7,631 positive PCR tests.
There are currently 1,090 COVID-19 cases admitted to NSW hospitals, including 29 people in intensive care, 13 of whom require ventilation.
