Four NSW Ambulance crews and the Westpac Rescue Helicopter were called to the scene of the single-vehicle crash at Palmers Lane, Pokolbin at 9.36am.
The driver of the vehicle, a woman believed to be aged in her mid 20s, was trapped in the wreckage for a brief period of time before being freed.
The woman, who suffered a suspected head injury in the crash, was intubated at the scene before the Westpac Rescue Helicopter took her to John Hunter Hospital in a serious condition.
It comes a day after the rescue helicopter was called into action at Congewai, where a man received head injuries in a tree lopping accident.
