The Magistrates House that David and Eliza Hamilton-Dunlop built, with the help of convicts has been owned by the Maul family for 25 years.
They are proud to be included now in the list of custodians of Mulla Villa, as Eliza would say: “Mulla Villa House by the river in The Wollombi”.
Brian and Francisca Maul received an Australia Day Heritage Award from Cessnock City Council in 1996 for opening its doors to the public, and Mulla Villa also received tourism awards five consecutive years in heritage and unique accommodation.
Everyone is welcome as the open the doors of this grand lady one more time this Sunday from 1pm to 4pm. Free tea and coffee and homemade scones will be available.
A gold coin donation will be collected by volunteers of the Wollombi Endeavour Museum and donated to this worthy cause.
Guesthouse Mulla Villa is located at 3174 Great North Road, Wollombi.
