The team cleaned up taking out 51 first positions, 11 seconds and 30 highly commended awards with Tayla Minchinton and Mikayla McGregor also taking out the highly sought-after junior and senior tap scholarships respectively.
Academy director Kelly Sloan said that she couldn’t be prouder of her students for their amazing efforts and that she feels very proud to have the opportunity to teach such talented local children.
“Abermain Eisteddfod for us is our final competition for each year and we always look forward to it for the completion of our competition year for our students,” she said.
“I am so proud of all of our students who competed and won so many prizes, but more importantly proud of all their work they put into their dancing over the year.
“Many of our students refer to our studio as their dance family.
“It is truly amazing how the children hold their extracurricular training so close to their hearts.
“So many children develop lifelong friendships within the studio as I did with my dancing.”
The Abermain Eisteddfod has been running for 97 years and continues to attract some of Hunter’s most talented young performers.
