Steven Kirk from Heddon Greta and Millfield father-son team Noel and Blake Marsh will all be contending titles in the single handed sawing championships and the 500mm butchers block.
The Lochinvar Woodchop comprises of eight events and has attracted 24 of the states most talented competitors, travelling from as far as Braidwood, Grafton, Lithgow, Sydney and Wauchope.
The axemen will also be chasing points from the two NSW titles, with points from all the titles held over a 12 month period accumulating for the NSW ‘Champion of Champions’.
Kirk is currently a member of the Australian team and is no stranger to success, with six world titles, 16 Australian titles and 86 NSW titles.
He is also a five-time NSW Champion of Champions and currently has three points in the pointscore, putting him in equal fifth position.
Blake Marsh is also a member of the NSW team and has one point in the championship, putting him in sixth position while Noel Marsh is also considered a strong chance to take out the single handed championships.
