Staff travelled to Hunter Mobile Preschool at Mulbring last Tuesday to help install a cubby house and sandpit that was constructed at the store.
The preschool operates out of Mulbring Community Hall, and the sandpit that the children played in was becoming rotted and unusable.
So they contacted Bunnings, who helped by offering a $50 gift voucher for a shade cloth over the sandpit as well as the cubby house itself and new sand for the pit.
The preschool kids thoroughly enjoyed helping install the new equipment, and were very excited to play in their new play area.
Bunnings staff also made a visit to the Mai-Wel Hub’s community garden on Monday to plant vegetables.
The community garden was started by people involved in the Transition to Work program, and Bunnings have helped with the planting and plan to return intermittently for ongoing maintenance of the garden.
The vegetables were donated by Bunnings along with the equipment to plant them.
