OPERATION: The Westpac Rescue Helicopter winched an injured dirt bike rider from bushland near Brunkerville on April 3 and flew him to John Hunter Hospital.
A 21-year-old man was airlifted to hospital after a dirt bike accident in bushland near Brunkerville on Sunday.
The accident happened around 9.15am Sunday.
Due to the remote location, the Westpac Rescue Helicopter was called in to winch a paramedic and doctor down to assist the injured rider.
The man sustained leg and back injuries.
He was flown to John Hunter Hospital in a stable condition.
