Aubrey took out the nine-years boys’ springboard title at the championships, after winning the eight-years division in 2015.
He scored 77.95 to win the gold medal, more than five points ahead of second place and eight points above third.
National competition for diving does not start until the under-10s, so Aubrey has won the highest level possible for his age group.
Aubrey’s sister Mali competed in the 11-years girls division and placed fifth, a great effort considering the top four place-getters are all members of the NSW Institute of Sport program.
The NSW PSSA championships were held at Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre in April.
The siblings travel to Lambton Pool two-to-three times a week for training, picking up the extra day with Belmont High after they qualified for the state tltles.
Aubrey and Mali, along with their elder sister Isla, are also talented trampolinists.
They will compete at the Australian Gymnastics Championships in Melbourne next week, along with fellow PCYC Cessnock athletes Kayla Germyn and Jack Allen, following their success at the Gymnastics NSW Senior State Championships in April.
