
The two-month Hunter Valley Wine and Food Festival is wrapping up this weekend, with a cheese festival among the events still to be enjoyed.
The first-ever Cheese Lovers Festival will be held at The Sebel Kirkton Park Hunter Valley on Saturday, June 25 from 10am to 4pm.
The festival will include more 30 stalls showcasing selections of cheese, wines, craft beer and entertainment.
Lunch and dinner will be hosted by celebrity chef, Lyndey Milan, who will be designing a three-course menu exclusive to the festival, with cheese incorporated into all dishes.
Tyrrell’s Wines CEO Bruce Tyrrell will share his wisdom on wine-tasting and wine making.
Other appearances include Annie and Jason Chesworth (“Mr and Mrs Cheese” from My Kitchen Rules 2015).
The day’s entertainment will also include great local bands and DJs, plus a ‘Kids Zone’ section with games and a mini animal farm.
The Cheese Lovers Festival will run from 10am to 4pm Saturday.
Other Hunter Valley Wine and Food Festival events this weekend will include the Burning of the Barrel at Glandore Estate (Saturday from 5pm), the Meet The Farmer Dinner at Margan Family Wines (Saturday from 6pm), A Taste of Wollombi (Wollombi village, Sunday 11am to 4pm), and the Lovedale Arts Festival (various venues).
Meanwhile, Snow Time in the Garden gets underway at Hunter Valley Gardens this Saturday, running until Sunday, July 17.
