Cessnock Regional Art Gallery’s Spring Art Fair begins this Friday at The Barrel Room, Roche Estate.
More than 150 artworks have been submitted, with 81 artists vying for a total of $6200 in prize money.
The opening night kicks off at 6.30pm, with the winners of the open section announced on the night.
The fair will be open over the weekend, from 10am-4pm Saturday and 10am-1pm Sunday.
The general public are welcome to view the entries, purchase art and vote for the 'viewers choice' award for the children's art award.
Eight primary schools have entered the fair and the child's artwork with the most amount of votes will win a cash prize for themselves and their school.
Tickets to the opening night cocktail party are $25 per person and can be purchased by calling the gallery on 4991 6619.
