Country music star Graeme Connors is no stranger to the stage and is returning to Cessnock in November with his 60 Summers nationwide tour.
The concert is one of a long run of shows around the country celebrating more than 40 years in the business with Connors’ most successful album to date.
The album 60 Summers is a collection of new songs and crowd favourites over the years and spent three weeks at number one on the ARIA Country Album chart.
“This CD is doing well because it identifies with a lot of my audience,” Connors said.
“I’ve got a whole new generation of fans that have memories of Mum and Dad listening to this music… and I think that probably contributes to why it’s been a wonderful success.”
Connors said he is looking forward to returning to Cessnock with his five-piece band to reconnect with his fans around the Hunter.
“I have some really long-term fans in Cessnock who have known me before I had my albums out when I worked in club entertainment,” Connors said.
“We used to do Cessnock regularly… so it will be terrific to visit.”
Graeme Connors will perform at Cessnock Performing Arts Centre on Friday, November 4.
Tickets are available at cessnockperformingartscentre.com.au or on 4990 7134.
