Australia’s biggest day of garage sales, the Garage Sale Trail, is on Saturday, October 22.
Cessnock mayor Bob Pynsent encourages the community to jump on the board.
“It is a great opportunity to discover a bargain, say hi to your neighbours hosting a sale or to support a local community group taking part to raise funds,” he said.
“Finding sales in the Cessnock area is easy thanks to the Treasure Trail on the Garage Sale Trail website, you simply search nearby sales and then add them to your personal Treasure Trail.
“You can use your Treasure Trail to invite friends to join you on social media, navigate using the map function or to simply print a list to take with you.”
In the lead-up you can start looking for sales in your area and click the ‘Add to Treasure Trail’ button on any sale you like.
