Two Hunter Valley restaurants in the Top Five Trip Advisors’ Travellers’ Choice Awards
Muse Restaurant has been awarded the number one position in Australia and number 15 in the world, whilst Restaurant Botanica was awarded number three in Australia.
This is a fantastic accolade for these two incredible establishments and for the Hunter Valley. The award is a result of the reviews made by travellers and diners on Trip Advisor over a 12-month period.
This year’s awards recognise 528 restaurants overall, including the top 25 fine dining in the world and dedicated lists for Asia, Canada, Europe, India, Mexico, South America, South Pacific, the UK and the US.
Award winners were determined using an algorithm that took into account the quantity and quality of reviews for restaurants around the world, gathered over a 12-month period.
Giant waterslide festival to launch at the Hunter Valley this summer
The event appropriately named Slideapalooza is set to transform Calais Estate Winery into a summer waterslide festival, the first event of its kind that the world has ever seen.
With over 45,000 interested on the social media event pages, the event is expected to sell out fast as the event capacity is capped at 10,000 sliders over the four-day festival.
The event has partnered up with Tour de Cure and will use the event and its world record-beating slide to raise money for the charity organisation which spreads its ‘be fit, be healthy, be happy’ message to school children around the country.
Registration for the event is now open, where participants can choose between the world record slide on Australia Day, family events on the Friday and Sunday or Saturday morning’s fitness event Sprint ’n’ Slide, afternoon live music event Slide ’n’ Sounds or the evening’s DJ and light festival event Slide ’n’ Lights. A fantastic event for the Hunter Valley.
