The festival kicked off with a lantern parade that made its way from Cessnock Performing Arts Centre down Vincent and Cooper Streets to the TAFE grounds, where the fiesta of fire and light took place.
Attractions included flaming sculptures, interactive installations, roving performers, entertainment, creative workshops and demonstrations by local services.
