LJ Hooker Cessnock business systems operator Lisa Petersen held her World’s Greatest Shave event at the real estate office on Saturday.
Lisa’s great shave has so far raised $2000 for the foundation, which provides free emotional and practical support to families facing blood cancer (including leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma) and helps fund vital research.
She was inspired to take part in the shave after a number of her family members were recently diagnosed with cancer.
“I would like to thank everyone for sponsoring me in Australia and England. It was worth it and all for a great cause,” she said.
Lisa also thanked LJ Hooker Cessnock owners Bryce and Mellissa Gibson for letting her hold the shave in the office and for donating the main raffle prize; Mark Petersen, Bespoke Hair Salon Maitland, Ink Café, Burgerfiend, Hunter Valley Zoo and Hunter Valley Gardens for donating raffle prizes, and Natalie from Hair by Natalie in Rutherford for donating a raffle prize and her services for the head shave.
Donations can still be made online at my.leukaemiafoundation.org.au/lisapetersen.
