That’s right, netball!
Cars are crashing, it’s muddy and it’s unsafe. Who’s going to fix it?
Firstly, when it rains the whole car park turns into mud and clay. All players have to walk in the mud and then they will slip over on the court. Mud will splash up on the cars’ windscreens because they have to drive slowly. Cars could have crashes because they could slip on the mud.
Secondly, it has big ditches from cars driving in and out. Cars could put on their brakes and sometimes it is a little too late. They could get stuck in a ditch in the night time and no-one is around to help and that could cause an accident.
Lastly, it is unsafe for kids and parents to park down streets and have to walk to the courts. If it is raining they could slip. They could get hit by a car if the car does not slow down. They will be exhausted from playing and then walking back to the car.
Dear council, Cessnock netball car park needs to be tarred, this instant.

A nature reserve would be great
The happiness, the laughter, the fun – I have an idea to create a nature reserve for people with disabilities to volunteer at.
It would make people with disabilities happier and give them more knowledge of the world, it would also help the environment, and provide people with jobs.
Volunteering for things makes people with disabilities feel special, happy and loved. I see people with disabilities helping out in sport and cooking every day. It would be great to have something like that in Cessnock.
Research shows that people with disabilities’ health are improving by their happiness improving.
This would also be a wonderful opportunity for people with disabilities to make friends.
Creating a nature reserve would fix and grow our environment. Newcastle has a reserve like this and their environment improved out of sight. We would be growing new plants and cutting down dead ones. Helping our environment is one of the many reasons to put this nature reserve into action.
If we created a nature reserve it would need people to help the people with disabilities by having a full-time job. This would be a good thing, because lots of Cessnock businesses have been shutting down, meaning lots of people are losing their jobs.
Making people with disabilities happy, fixing our environment and providing people with jobs, they sound like decent reasons don’t they?
Please help our community become a happier, healthier and wealthier place. I’ve seen cool things but this would be amazing.
