The society was founded 40 years ago, and performs regular shows around Newcastle and the Hunter.
It has a few professional magicians plus amateur performers from a wide range of backgrounds, including an advertising agent, chemistry lecturer, computer support, real estate agent and an active member of the Air Force.
The free, family-family show will feature ropes, illusions, animals and more – and balloon animals for children at the end of the show.
Magicians performing on the night will include Joel ‘JD’ Howlett, David Whinston, Andrew Warden, Steve Irwin, Noel Clair, John Ferguson, Graeme Holstein and David Blunden, with table magic in the intermission by Micheal Blakeman and Bradley Burgoyne.
Burgoyne said the society hopes to reach a new audience by bringing the show to Bellbird and encourages any children and adults who might be interested in learning more about magic to come along.
“We welcome new members of any age to learn the wonders of this age-old art together,” he said.
The show will start at 7pm.
