The breakfast is hosted by Cessnock City Council as part of Local Government Week celebrations.
This year’s guest speaker was Nathan Hulls, a youth motivational speaker who spoke from the heart about issues that are real to young people.
His presentation focused on inspiring young people to look beyond their circumstances, rise above the pressures that try to pull them down, and decide their own destiny.
Cessnock mayor Bob Pynsent said Mr Hulls is a fantastic role model for young people.
“He has faced adversity, suffered loss, endured disability and come out on top,” Cr Pynsent said.
