The often shrouded world of Freemasonry will be uncovered at the upcoming St Philip’s Christian College Spring Fair this weekend.

The traditionally secret society will be opening its doors at the popular event with members of Lodge Cessnock No,252 will be giving revelers the chance to peek inside the world of the Masons.
The Lodge will be hosting a large Masonic display which will include a small-scale version of a lodge room interior, Masonic working tools and various Masonic aprons.
Worshipful Master Bryce Gibson said that the members couldn’t wait to show the community what they’re all about.
“I am excited to display a snapshot of what Freemasonry is all about,” he said. “Some people in the public only know us as a secret society, but we are much more.
“Amongst many of our endeavours is a deep sense of charity and the betterment of the whole community.”
Mr Gibson added that people will also have the change to buy a ticket in Loge Cessnock’s Mega 100 Club raffle that will feature more than $5000 in prizes.
All proceeds of the raffle will go to the Lodge’s drought assistance fundraiser which will be held at East Cessnock Bowling Club on Saturday 20 October.
St Philip’s Spring Fair is on in the school grounds (cnr Lomas Lane and Wine Country Drive) on Saturday 1 September from 10am to 3pm.
