One of those businesses in the running is the Cessnock Performing Arts Centre (CPAC) and coordinator Vicki Sienczuk said the nod was “exciting.”
“Being a finalist in the Hunter Business Excellence Awards is very exciting and we are all honoured to be recognised in this way,” she said.
Ssince opening in 2008, the centre has become a hub of entertainment in the region, drawing audiences from across the Hunter Valley and beyond.
Aside from its robust entertainment program, the centre is also home to the Cessnock Senior Citizens Association and the Australian Decorative and Fie Arts Society (ADFAS).
CPAC is also responsible for producing events on behalf of council including this week’s Spring Awakening festival, Carols in the Park and Australia Day.
This will be the 25th year these prestigious awards have taken place and the gala dinner celebration will be held at Club Maitland City in Rutherford on Friday 21 September.
