Under the coordination of Kurri Kurri Community Centre this year, the event involved entertainment, rides, food and finished with a screening of The Greatest Showman, which one of the organisers Davina Dawes said attracted about 500 people.
It was such a beautiful evening, she said. All the community centre staff and volunteers were just smiling from ear to ear when the movie was on.
The event included musical items by much-loved local performers Melody Pool and Tara Naysmith and young up and comer Charlie Fittler who was on his way to The Voice auditions.
There were also performances by local schools including a production involving 50 pre-schoolers.
Ms Dawes said the community centre was planning to go even bigger and better next year with more groups and activities involved.
