The Children’s Medical Research Institute (CMRI) is almost $9,000 better off thanks to the Cessnock City Donor Group.

The group recently presented CMRI with $8,715 made up from the group’s recent Bunnings fundraiser which netted $7250, $1105 from its annual envelope appeal and a further $350 from local families.
CMRI community relations officer Jennifer Philps was in Cessnock to accept the donation and tell all about the latest developments in research at the centre.
Cessnock Donor Group treasurer Bruce Wilson said the group were thrilled to be able to continue its support of CMRI while thanking the community for their generosity towards the envelope appeal, adding that many had been supporting the drive for more than 25 years.
