The club, which numbers 40 ladies has had considerable success of late, not least of which Carolyn Glen who was a member of the gold medal-winning NSW team at the Australian Senior Sides Championships in South Australia.

The team beat Western Australia in a nail-biting finale that Carolyn, a state team veteran, said was especially daunting given her rink was live streamed.

Fellow Kurri team members Ann Wilkins and Gail Sheehan took out the State seniors pairs title back in September and are both nominated for the senior bowler of the year award. Tanya Ware and Ian Brown walked away as runners-up in the State mixed pairs championship.

It seems as though the future of the club is in good stead with prodigious bowler Chloe Appleby recently selected in the NSW junior gold squad following in the footsteps of father Aaron and brother Tailor.

“She’s only been playing for a couple of years, so to get herself into the gold junior squad is just fantastic,” Carolyn said.

Carolyn added that the club would be holding a recruitment day at the club this Saturday from 10am to 12pm.

“It will be a family day out and we are looking for anyone, not just ladies,” she said.
