Brian will be performing alongside musical theatre star Geraldine Tuner in the show The Maestro and the Diva – a stunning tribute to some of the world’s greatest composers.
The show will celebrate the music of Cole Porter, George Gershwin, Stephen Sondheim, Irving Berlin, Andrew Lloyd Webber and many more.
Aside from great music and song the show will also be peppered with a healthy dose of wit and reflection as Brian looks back on his formative years in Cessnock, while Geraldine will share a raft of anecdotes from her years on the stage, appearing in such productions as Sweeney Todd, Company, Into The Woods and Guys And Dolls.
Both celebrated artists will regale the crowd with tall tales and true from both behind and in front of the curtain.
Adding an air of glamour to the event, the night will kick off with a stroll down the red carpet where you will be snapped by eager paparazzi and a selection of canapes and sparkling wine will be served before the performance.
The audience will also get a sneak preview of what CPAC has in store for 2019 including Australia’s leading stars of opera and musical theatre Marina Prior and David Hobson who will perform their show The 2 Of Us – Up Close and Personal (April 11) and Johnathan Biggins as Paul Keating in The Gospel According To Paul (April 2).
Also on the 2019 calendar is the anticipated production of the hit Australian film The Sapphires (February 26) which is sure to have everyone singing and dancing in the aisles.
Also, with the likes of such musical heavy hitters as Ian Moss (April 27) and James Reyne (May 11) visiting CPAC, this year is certainly one to write home about.
The Maestro and the Diva is on at Cesnock Performing Arts Centre on Saturday 9 February from 7:15pm. For tickets and more information, visit www.cessnockperformingartscentre.com.au
