Cessnock City Council carried out works after receiving more than $30,000 under the NSW Government's Community Building Partnership program and a generous contribution from Ability Links NSW of $30,000. Council also contributed funding to the project.
The project involved the construction of an accessible ramp and an accessible toilet and upgrades to the existing toilet facilities.
Cessnock Mayor Bob Pynsent said it was fantastic to see a collaborative project deliver a great outcome.
"This joint project is a demonstration of how we can all work together to achieve positive social, environmental and recreational outcomes for our community," he said.
"There are a number of community groups that use the hall and a variety of activities that take place there. All of these contributing to the health and wellbeing of our residents."
