The exhibition, which is a fundraiser for Laguna Public School, will be staged in Laguna Community Hall from August 23-25.
Artist liaison Natalie Moore said allowing online registrations this year had resulted in more interest from new artists. "This is a fantastic result and crucial for the ongoing success of the art exhibition," she said.
The strong interest means the Emerging Artist award for artists who have never had a solo commercial exhibition will be highly contended.
Dorothy Compton has been chosen as the 2019 feature artist. Her love of nature provides the inspiration in her use of watercolour, charcoal, acrylic and oil.
Opening night will be on August 23 with a dinner followed by the opening, with Dorothy in attendance.
The general exhibition will be open on August 24 and 25. An arts and craft market will run across the weekend.
