A group of local dancers are gearing up for a memorable experience this Saturday night when they are part of the Echoes of Pink Floyd show at Cessnock Performing Arts Centre.

The concept act is touring Australia to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Pink Floyd's career-defining album, The Wall, and is engaging with the community in each town by including local young performers in the show.
Ten students from Kirsty Gunther Academy of Dance will be part of the Another Brick in the Wall Part 2 choir, when the tribute band recreates Pink Floyd's first and only number-one single.
Kirsty said it has been a great opportunity for her students to experience what it is like to participate in a live show.
"The children have had a wonderful time preparing for the event and cannot wait to work with the band," she said.
Echoes of Pink Floyd formed 10 years ago, with an aim to authentically replicate the brilliant sights and sounds of one of the world's greatest progressive rock bands of all time.
It has been touring nationally since 2014 and has achieved critical acclaim, described as "the next best thing to a genuine Floyd experience" (Bendigo Weekly), "a skilful celebration of the source material" (Upside News - Adelaide) and "a true credit to the musicians" (Rogue Inc - Perth).
The latest tour recreates The Wall in its entirety, plus an encore of classic hits from the band.
