While the word crossfit can divide a room, business partners Brendan McConnell, Adam Dever and Jarad Ruprecht are bringing some balance back to the notion of the fitness sensation, with the launch of Crossfit Indulge in Rutherford.

The trio opened the community gym in July 2018 with the idea of offering a place that people can turn up to every day without the need to sign up to an annual membership.
With three classes running daily and a newly launched teens class aimed at promoting good movement in youths, the purpose is clear - to help people live longer.
Shaking off the reputation that crossfit has for loading gym goers up with weights and spending little time on safe movements, newcomers are assessed across 2 one hour sessions to determine their capability and goals.
"The three of us all enjoy exercise and movement but we all have balance, from spending time with family or enjoying a few beers, our focus is about providing an outlet for people to come along for a good hour everyday and let go of stress, move and equip their bodies to enjoy life." States Jarad.
Their nomination in the Hunter Business Excellence Awards in the New Start category suggest that they are hitting the mark and is, says Jarad a sign that their place in the community is needed.
"We think we've got the mix right and that the business is in a good location. It's a great family we have building and that's really how we want it to stay."
