The hugely popular event allows Cessnock local government area to dispose of up to four mattresses or bases, completely free of charge.
Cessnock mayor Bob Pynsent is encouraging local residents to come along and take advantage of this spring cleaning opportunity.
"This event is so popular in our community each year and the best part is, following the drop-off, the mattresses and bases will be sent away where 75 percent of the materials will be recycled, which is just fantastic," Cr Pynsent said.
The event will run from 8am to noon at the depot on Old Maitland Road, and is for Cessnock local government area residents only (proof of address is required).
Drop-offs must also be made using a vehicle, as there will be no pedestrian access.
If you are unable to attend the drop-off day, mattresses can be taken to the Cessnock Waste Management Centre for disposal for a fee of $33.
