The Year 8 and 9 students walked to Weston, Kurri Kurri and Pelaw Main public schools, and back to Kurri Kurri High - a 14-kilometre round trip - on their White Ribbon Respect Run.
The boys gave a presentation at each primary school about the global campaign to prevent men's violence against women, and to promote their message about the importance of respectful relationships.
The students are part of a boys' education group called the Real Man Project, which formed in 2018.
Last year they unveiled a White Ribbon mural at the school, and this year the boys wanted to go bigger and raise awareness in a completely different way.
The ultimate goal of Friday's Respect Run was to "change the culture of disrespect and create a future that is free of domestic violence in the Kurri Kurri community by promoting respectful relationships", they said.
Kurri Kurri High School was also represented at Cessnock Walks Kawuma on Wednesday.
