Judges Sharna Burgess and Tristan MacManus and guest judge Mandy Moore were full of praise for some of the celebs who sashayed across the floor.
Comedian Celia Pacquola and her partner Jarryd Byrne were colourful and sassy, picking up a score of 18/30 for their cha cha. AFL fave Travis Cloke acquitted himself well with partner Violeta Mugica, even surprising himself with the emotion he brought to the routine. Moore and Burgess were less concerned with the technical aspects, giving him high praise.
Actor-producer-director Claudia Karvan and partner Aric Yegudkin cha cha'd their way to the top with a score of 21/30. Moore was blown away and told Karvan: "You are a pro, you are incredible, what a treat to watch."
Reality show celeb Dean Wells and partner Alexandra Vladimirov plummeted to the bottom with 11/30. His unconventional cha cha to MC Hammer's Can't Touch This didn't cut the mustard, with Burgess commenting: "I don't' think you want me to be honest. Your performance was great, but your cha cha was less than great."
Social media darling Christian Wilkins in his trademark long coat shimmered through the tango with partner Lily Cornish. Moore remarked it was "sexy, strong and everything I wanted the tango to be".
Of course Chloe Lattanzi has the pedigree to steal the limelight and with partner Gustavo Viglio fox-trotted her way to a score of 18/30 as a beaming mum, Olivia Newton-John, watched on.
Funny man Ed Kavalee was told to tone down his facial expressions, and Angie Kent needs to concentrate, while Beau Ryan was told to let loose a bit more - hmmm.
