Zammit began her stand-up comedy career more than a decade ago, when her sister decided it was time to move her MC Hammer dance moves and one-liners out of the lounge room and enrolled her in a stand-up comedy writing course for the sake of family harmony.
After graduation, she was inspired to work the hard yards and tighten her comedy antics on Sydney's open mic stages.
Zammit won the prestigious "Quest for the Best" new comedy talent search in November 2008, and made the NSW finals of Raw Comedy the following year.
Her first solo show, My Emmoirs: A Tale of Two Cities, debuted at the Wild West Perth Comedy Festival in May 2011 and was nominated for the People's Choice Award.
Her latest show, The Gate - Tales of a Guilty School Parent, tells the tales of being a new school mum trying to juggle homework, news days, sports days, teachers' opinions, full-time work and running a household.
Zammit will feature among an impressive lineup of female entertainers and guest speakers at the dinner, which will raise money for domestic violence charity Got Your Back Sista.
Up-and-coming local country singer Trinity Woodhouse and dancers from Kirsty Gunther Academy of Dance will also perform on the night.
Speakers include Got Your Back Sista CEO Melissa Histon, Cessnock City Council general manager Lotta Jackson, country singer Tara Naysmith, swimming coach Ellena Morris, and Crystal Duncan, general manager of Miruma (Cessnock Correctional Centre's residential program for female offenders with mental health and drug and alcohol abuse issues).
Tickets for the two-course dinner are $65 per person, with $10 per ticket going to Got Your Back Sista - helping women and children who have fled domestic violence to get back on their feet.
Guests are also encouraged to donate personal care items for local refuges Jodie's Place and Carrie's Place.
Tickets are available via outix.com or by calling the club on 4993 2655.
