As Australia's master illusionist and hypnotist, Hypnotik has performed everywhere from the red dirt to the high seas - but there's nothing like the buzz of performing in front of his hometown crowd.
Hypnotik (aka Scott Foster) will bring his latest show, Deja Vu, to East Cessnock Bowling Club on Friday, March 20.
The 28-year-old has been practicing magic and hypnosis since childhood, after seeing a magician perform at a local market day when he was six years old.
He has created a spellbinding, hilarious, one-of-a-kind show that combines illusion, hypnotism and comedy.
Since his breakthrough show in Newcastle in 2015, Hypnotik has performed all around Australia, from Melbourne to the top end of Queensland, to Birdsville in the outback, and on cruise ships.
His next goal is to perform on the world stage, and on television - but the Cessnock boy never could have imagined where his shows have taken him so far.
"I'm very happy with what I've achieved," he said.
"If you follow your goals, you never know where you'll end up."
Ahead of his fourth hometown show, Hypnotik says he loves performing locally in front of family, friends and old classmates, and encourages anyone who is up for a good laugh to come along.
"I'm not out to humiliate people - I keep it clean, but I have fun," he says.
The show starts at 7.30pm and tickets are $25 at the club.
