HOLIDAY FUN AT PCYC
There's plenty of fun at PCYC Cessnock during the winter school holidays. The school holiday program, for kids aged 5-12, starts on Monday, July 6 and runs weekdays until Friday, July 17, with sports, games and creative activities on offer. The club also has an 18-metre rock climbing wall and an indoor skate park. The PCYC is located at 1B Short Street, Cessnock (entry off Maclean Street). Places are limited; bookings are essential. WHAT'S ON AT CYCOS
Cessnock Youth Centre and Outreach Service will hold school holiday programs for young people aged 11 to 20 years old over the next two weeks. Events include Art Attack (July 7), a pool comp (July 8), Anime Day (July 14) and Green Thumbs (July 15). All events run from 11am to 2pm and places are limited due to COVID-19 restrictions. RAILWAY MUSEUM REOPENS SUNDAY
Richmond Vale Railway Museum will reopen its gates to the public this Sunday. Diesel-hauled trains will be operating, and the museum's display rooms, canteen and souvenir shop will be open. The museum is open on the first three Sundays of each month and school holiday Sundays from 9.30am. Entry fees are adults $16.50, concession $11.00, children aged 5-15 $7.50 and under five free.
TENNIS FOR KIDS
Club Evolve at Cessnock Tennis Courts will host a school holiday program for kids aged five to 12 on Tuesday, July 7. The program will run from 9am to 3pm; cost is $49 per child, including fruit, lunch, a drink and ice cream. Book online at clubevolve.com.au.
BOWLS IS BACK
East Cessnock Retireds will resume their Friday games at East Cessnock Bowling Club this week. Bowls will start at 10am (as the club doesn't open its doors until 9.30am at this stage).
